JUNE 20, 2007 (TORONTO) – TSX Venture 50 is back to celebrate Canada’s top emerging public companies. Tonight (Wednesday, June 20), TSX Venture Exchange will celebrate 50 companies who have stood out in their respective industry sector this past year. A Market Open ceremony at the TSX Broadcast Centre will follow-up the festivities tomorrow morning (Thursday, June 21) to highlight the top companies in each sector.
The top companies in the five industry sectors were:
The TSX Venture 50 are the top 10 companies in each of five major industry sectors – Mining, Oil & Gas, Technology, Life Sciences and Diversified Industries – based on a ranking formula with equal weighting given to one-year revenue (last reported 12 months), return on investment, market cap growth and trading volume. All data was as at December 31, 2006.

TSX Group Market Opening
TSX Venture Exchange officials, along with selected TSX Venture 50 issuers, will open trading on Thursday, June 21 2007. Executives from the issues along with TSX Venture Exchange President Kevan Cowan will be available to speak to media before this event.
When: Thursday June 21, 2007, 8:45-10:00AM (Market Opening at 9:30 a.m.)
Where: TSX Broadcast Centre, 130 King Street West, Toronto.

Media may pick up a feed from the TOC (television operations centre) for all market open ceremonies. The feed is named TSX Transmit 2 and is produced at the TSX and sent live to the TOC. The client moves into position for the market open ceremony at approximately 9:27 a.m. and the markets will open with the sound of a SIREN (the traditional market open on Toronto Stock Exchange) at 9:30 a.m.
