TMX Group to celebrate the kick off of the 2008 Toronto Argonauts Season
JUNE 25, 2008 (TORONTO) - TMX Group has its roots back to the launch of Toronto Stock Exchange in 1852. The Toronto Argonauts were founded in 1873. Together these two local icons join together to kick off the 2008 Toronto Argonauts season with a special market opening this Friday, June 27 at the TSX Broadcast Centre. The Argos play in Winnipeg Friday night and the home opener is on Thursday, July 3 at Rogers Centre. For more information on tickets, please visit www.argonauts.ca.
Team co-owner David Cynamon, CEO Michael "Pinball" Clemons, COO Brad Watters along with Jason, the team's mascot, and members of the 2008 Argos Cheerleaders will be on hand for the opening.

When: Friday, June 27, 2008 - market opening is at 9:30 a.m.
Television Editors: Media may pick up a feed from the TOC (television operations centre) for all market open ceremonies. The feed is named TSX Transmit 2 and is produced at the TSX and sent live to the TOC. The client moves into position for the market open ceremony at approximately 9:27 a.m. and the markets will open with the sound of a SIREN (the traditional market open on Toronto Stock Exchange) at 9:30 a.m.
