TMX Group Consolidated Trading Statistics - November 2014

December 2, 2014 (TORONTO) - TMX Group Limited today announced November 2014 trading statistics for its marketplaces - Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, TMX Select, Alpha, Montreal Exchange (MX) and NGX.

Total TMX equities trading volume in November 2014 decreased 13% compared to the previous month, but increased 4% compared to the same month a year earlier. Trading volume on Toronto Stock Exchange in November 2014 decreased 12% compared to the previous month, but increased 13% compared to November 2013. Volume on TSX Venture Exchange decreased 11% in November 2014 compared to the previous month, and decreased 12% compared to November 2013. Trading volume on TMX Select in November 2014 decreased 23% compared to the previous month, but increased 15% compared to November 2013. Alpha trading volume in November 2014 decreased 20% compared to the previous month, and decreased 3% compared to the same month a year earlier.

In November 2014, volume on MX decreased 17% compared to the previous month, but increased 11% compared to the same month a year earlier. The level of open interest contracts at the end of November 2014 increased 4% compared to the end of October 2014, and increased 9% compared to the end of November 2013.

Volume on NGX in November 2014 increased 4% compared to the previous month, and increased 28% compared to November 2013.
