CFA Toronto Society's Climate change series

A vast majority of institutional investors now employ an ESG lens when it comes to investment decision making with the goal of playing a key role in addressing some of the world's most pressing issues such as Climate Change.

The CFA Society Toronto is holding a three part Climate Change Series: From Idea to Action where they will be addressing Why Climate Change issues represent a risk and opportunity to organizations. Various considerations and approaches to measuring and setting targets related to Climate Change and the various investment approaches that can be taken in order to address Climate Change risks.

As part of our efforts to assist our issuers with their ESG disclosure efforts, we'd like to highlight part 2 of this series in particular as the discussion will uncover the following points:

  • Various considerations and approaches to measuring and setting targets related to Climate Change
  • An understanding of the main frameworks being applied including TCFD physical and transition- related risk measurement as well as Carbon Footprint.
  • Resources, tools and methodologies for measuring Climate Change Risk
  • Tangible methods of applying these metrics in an efficient way.
