From Booths to Breakouts: Reeling in Q2’s Top Conference Moments

By Bethany Terracina, Client Success Manager, TSX + TSXV Company Services
The Company Services Team hit the ground running across a packed spring calendar, actively participating in and sponsoring premier conferences, roadshows, and industry events to connect our partners with vital capital and opportunity across the globe. We remained laser-focused on delivering high-impact visibility and fostering strategic connections, leveraging our sponsorship presence and active engagement to drive meaningful success for our network of issuers.
The first six months of 2026 have firmly highlighted the impressive resilience and operational efficiency of Canada's public markets. For investors and capital market professionals keeping a pulse on the TSX and TSXV, here are three major milestones currently shaping the landscape:
- A Historic Benchmark: Total market capitalization has officially crossed the $7 trillion threshold.
- Resource Sector Dominance: A massive $9 billion in capital was successfully raised within the mining sector.
- Venture Growth: 14 issuers demonstrated strong upward mobility by graduating from the TSXV to the senior TSX board.
In the midst of this market momentum, we were thrilled to be on the ground. Below is a recap of the premier spring conferences, roadshows, and events we proudly partnered with and attended over this dynamic period:
IR Impact Awards – Canada (Toronto) - April
We were incredibly proud to support our listed issuers and celebrate their successes at the IR Impact Awards – Canada 2026. Congratulations to all of our issuers who were nominated and took home awards, with a special congratulations to those we were honored to personally present with two awards during the ceremony.
The IR Impact Awards – Canada 2026 recognized leading IR practitioners across more than 30 categories at a black-tie event in Toronto. Among the evening's major achievements, the awards for Best Overall Investor Relations went to TD Bank Group (TSX:TD) for Large Cap, Skeena Gold + Silver (TSX:SKE) for Mid-Cap, and DCM DATA Communications Management (TSX:DCM) for Small Cap.

Bloom Burton & Co. Healthcare Investor Conference (Toronto) - April
We were delighted to sponsor the Bloom Burton & Co. Healthcare Investor Conference, which took place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The event successfully brought together Canada's premier publicly traded, venture-backed, and pre-venture healthcare companies with a diverse group of Canadian, U.S., and international investors. Attendees had the opportunity to hear the latest corporate updates and industry developments, while select investors were invited to participate in targeted 1-on-1 meetings with company management.
International Deal Gateway (IDG) European Roadshow (Zurich, Paris, and London) - April
In partnership with International Deal Gateway (IDG), our European roadshow this past April successfully connected five TSX and TSXV New Energy companies with over 60 family office investor groups across Zurich, Paris, and London. Throughout the week, these European investors demonstrated a focus on long-term partnerships, prioritizing sustainable commerciality and strong, invested leadership over short-term hype. The deep engagement and technical curiosity from these family offices proved that the bridge connecting Canadian innovation to European capital remains incredibly strong.
Defence Capital Forum (Toronto) - May
In collaboration with Dentons, we co-hosted an exclusive forum focused on financing Canada's defence sector. The event brought together industry leaders, investors, and capital markets participants to explore the critical intersection of national security and economic opportunity. Discussions highlighted the vital role of public markets in driving defence innovation, providing comprehensive financing solutions, and supporting the expansion of Canada's defence industrial base. We remain committed to facilitating these high-impact conversations to help shape and fund the future of our national security ecosystem.
121 Mining Investment (London, UK) - May
Our participation as a proud sponsor of the 121 Mining Investment conference in London was a great success, providing us with a valuable opportunity to touch base with many of our listed issuers. The event served as a highly active environment for building strategic connections, as the 121 Mining team efficiently facilitated a total of 1,700 meetings between 360 investors and approximately 90 corporate entities. We were thrilled to be on the ground to support our mining clients and help them maximize their visibility with key global investors.
THE Mining Investment Event (Quebec City) - June
We were proud to sponsor this year's Mining Investment Event in Quebec City, a premier gathering that brought together 1,400 delegates, including 350 qualified investors, and over 200 represented companies. We were thrilled to support such a highly engaging environment, with the conference facilitating an impressive 3,500 one-on-one meetings over just three days. This program provided value for our mining issuers, featuring 143 issuers participating in one-on-one meetings, 65 presentations, and 17 panels and keynotes, ultimately driving meaningful strategic connections and capital opportunities within the sector.
Canadian Climate Investor Conference (CCIC) (Toronto) - June
The Canadian Climate Investor Conference (CCIC), hosted by Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV), brought together 13 growth-oriented clean technology and renewable energy companies and over 200 climate-conscious investors to explore opportunities to accelerate the deployment of capital needed to build a more sustainable future for Canada and the world.
This premier investment forum showcased innovative solutions to today's climate-related challenges and aimed to make sustainable investing accessible to a broader investor base. A curated list of participating companies shared how their businesses are contributing to reducing the impacts of climate change while creating value for their shareholders.
Canadian CIRI Annual Conference (Saint-Sauveur) - June
CIRI's Annual Conference was held in Saint-Sauveur in June and offered virtually. The conference brought together industry leaders and IR experts who offered their views and advice throughout numerous breakout sessions, panel discussions, and presentations.
A huge congratulations to Berk Sumen, Managing Director, TSX & TSXV Company Services, on receiving this year's prestigious CIRI Fellows Award (F.CIRI), the highest honor for investor relations professionals in Canada! This well-deserved designation recognizes his outstanding leadership and significant contributions to advancing the investor relations profession throughout his career.
We were also proud to have Berk Sumen participate in a panel session about AI Best Practices & Use Cases, and to have Roy Wefuan, Head, TSX & TSXV Company Services, moderate a panel on IR's Strategic Impact to the C-Suite and the Board. TMX was also delighted to be a sponsor of this event.
