TMX Equity Trading Notice
TMX Equities Announces Proposed Implementation Date for Introduction of Dark Orders on Alpha Classic
TMX Equities is pleased to announce that the proposed amendments to introduce certain undisplayed (or "dark") order types on Alpha Exchange Inc. ("Alpha"), as described in Equities Notice 2026-007, are expected to be implemented on July 20, 2026. The proposed amendments remain subject to regulatory approval.
As a reminder, Alpha is comprised of the TSX Alpha Exchange ("Alpha Classic"), Alpha X, and Alpha DRK order books. The proposed amendments will be introduced into the Alpha Classic order book only, and will be distinct from the operation of Alpha DRK (Alpha's non-visible or "dark" order book), which operates on a stand-alone dark book.
