TMX Information Processor
TMX IP Feed Change: Addition Of A New Marketplace - CIX Trading
Attention TMX IP Clients
The TMX Information Processor plans to introduce feeds for a new marketplace, CIX Trading, pending regulatory approval. The CIX Trading marketplace consists of three order books: CIX ASPEN ("ASPC"), CIX ASPEN VERT ("ASPV"), and CIX MIDPOINT ("INCC").
A Consolidated Data Feed ("CDF") will be introduced for each of the ASPC, ASPV, and INCC. Furthermore, the data will be incorporated in the Canadian Best Bid and Offer ("CBBO"), Consolidated Depth of Book ("CDB"), and Consolidated Last Sale ("CLS") feeds.

Below are details on Tags #196 (PublicPrice), #64 (Volume), and #41 (Price).
For CBBO and CDB Products:
- For lit CIX venues (ASPC and ASPV), the value for FieldIdentifier = 64 (Volume) will be normalized, rounded to the nearest boardlot value, and merged into consolidated books with other lit venues.
- For lit CIX venues (ASPC and ASPV), the values for FieldIdentifier = 196 (PublicPrice) and FieldIdentifier = 41 (Price) will be passed through as a floating-point integer with 6 decimal places. No additional customer decoding is required.
For CDF and CLS Products:
- For all CIX venues, the value for FieldIdentifier = 64 (Volume) will be passed through, as received, as the full integer value with 6 implied decimal places. Customers should divide Volume by one million.
- For all CIX venues, the values for FieldIdentifier = 41 (Price) will be passed through as a floating-point integer with 6 decimal places. No additional customer decoding is required.
The updated TMX IP specifications are now available on the TMX Webstore, and will be effective in Q3, 2026, subject to change. All specifications will be updated with the specific effective date once it is finalized, and a corresponding Notice will be published. The test data for the TMX IP will be made available to clients upon request.
