As part of TMX's commitment to fostering a healthy and vibrant marketplace, we continuously review mechanisms in our system to promote the highest levels of market quality. Our marketplace thresholds are a multi-tiered, dynamic control mechanism designed to prevent erroneous orders and manage sudden price volatility across all securities, ensuring a fair and transparent marketplace and supporting price discovery.
Based on Participant feedback, TMX Equities is pleased to announce that detailed information on marketplace thresholds for each of the TMX Equities markets for TSX & TSXV-listed securities is now available on our website.
The specific details and parameters for various security types can be found here or by navigating to the "Trading Rules & Regulations" page for each of our markets. This new resource provides clarity on the measures we have in place to support orderly trading and market quality.
