Representatives from Centraide du Grand-Montréal, La Maison Marguerite, Sur la pointe des pieds, Fondation Marie-Ève-Saulnier, Fondation CHU Sainte-Justine, and Share the Warmth, joined TMX Group’s Montréal team to open the market in celebration of the efforts TMX has made in the community through its charitable giving program called “Impact”. This year, the employee-led program is focused on making a difference in children's health initiatives.

For a quarter-century the IR Magazine Awards have honoured excellence and leadership in investor relations around the world. The IR awards were presented on April 3rd at The Ritz Carlton in Toronto.

Angels Catwalk for SickKids Opens the Market

Representatives from Angels Catwalk for SickKids joined Graham MacKenzie, Head, ETFs and Structured Products, Toronto Stock Exchange, to open the market. The 6th annual Angels Catwalk for SickKids takes place on April 4, 2019 at Steam Whistle Brewing in Toronto. To date the event has raised over $1 million in support of transplant research, education and innovation at the SickKids Transplant Centre.

Winners of Frontier College's 2019 SCRABBLE® Corporate Challenge Open the Market

Stephen Faul, President and CEO, Frontier College, and the winners of Frontier College’s 2019 SCRABBLE® Corporate Challenge, joined Jay Rajarathinam, President, CDS & CDCC, and Chief Technology & Operations Officer, TMX Group, to open the market. The 15th annual Scrabble Corporate Challenge presented by TMX Group on March 7, attracted senior executives from Canada’s banks, investment, technology, accounting, and law firms to the one-night, no spellcheck Scrabble Competition in support of Frontier College. Frontier College provides literacy programs for children, youth, and adults, through a network of volunteers. Since 2005, the Scrabble Corporate Challenge has raised $3.8 million dollars for Frontier College.

True Patriot Love Foundation Opens the Market

Fate Saghir, VP, Market Strategy and Innovation, Mackenzie Investments, joined Tanya Rowntree, Global Head of Client Success, Capital Formation, TMX Group, to open the market. True Patriot Love Foundation (TPL) is a national charity that helps military and Veteran families across Canada, providing programs supporting mental health, physical rehabilitation, transition to life after service, and the unique needs of children and families. TPL has helped 25,000 military and Veteran families in need over the past decade through more than 750 community-based programs. TPL has organized an all-women’s expedition, consisting of a team of female soldiers, veterans with female business and community leaders across Canada, to raise awareness and funds for the foundation and to support military families. This year’s expedition will take place in the Arctic Circle, at Baffin Island from April 1 – 14.
