TMX Equity Trading Notice
Alpha X & DRK - Test Environment Availability
Further to Equities Trading Notices 2023-006 and 2023-012, TMX Equities is pleased to announce the GTE availability of July 10th, 2023 for the new market comprising two new order books to the TMX marketplace: Alpha-X and Alpha DRK.
Alpha-X : A Lit order book with a suite of visible order types, plus a new Smart LimitTM order type with the capability of automatically re-pricing to protect against adverse selection at soon-to-be-stale prices, as informed by the new TMX Quote Decay SignalTM.
Alpha DRK : A Dark order book with a comprehensive suite of Dark order types, plus a new Smart PegTM order type with the discretionary ability of trading at more aggressive prices.
The following specifications for the Alpha X and Alpha DRK books are now available on the TMX Webstore:

The new Alpha-X and Alpha DRK order books are expected to be implemented and available in production in September 2023, subject to regulatory approval.
