TMX Operational Notice

Alpha-X / Alpha DRK Launch and Parallel Production Testing Opportunities Update

Overview

In support of the Alpha-X / Alpha DRK trading platform launch on October 23, 2023 and to further aid in client readiness, TMX is currently supporting GTE testing and will support live PRODUCTION testing with designated test symbols. For details, please see below.

GTE Testing

The Alpha-X / Alpha DRK Gateway Test Environment (GTE) is fully operational. In support of the new S-Limit feature and corresponding order entry/data feed messaging, we have enabled the TMX Quote Decay Signal (QDS) on the following symbols in our GTE environment:

CNQ	RY
CNR	SU
ENB	T
FTS	TD
MFC	TRP

The QDS will turn on for one minute, then off for two minutes. This behavior repeats daily between 10:00am - 4:00pm on each symbol.

Weekend Production Testing Opportunities

Testing Rollout Schedule

Date	Milestone
September 30, 2023	1st weekend test in production environment.
October 14, 2023*	2nd weekend test in production environment.
October 21, 2023	3rd weekend test in production environment.

*TMX / CIRO 2023 DR test weekend, Alpha-X / Alpha DRK will be available for client testing

Integration Test Details

Clients are encouraged to participate and test the following functionality.

Connecting to the production environment
FIX Order entry and Drop Copy (if applicable)
Receipt of the new Alpha-X / Alpha DRK market data feeds
Market data recovery session connectivity

From October 16 -20, the Alpha-X / Alpha DRK trading platform will begin support for trading test symbols in the production environment during the regular trading hours. During the live production testing period, orders in designated test symbols will be accepted, but all orders in non-designated test symbols will be rejected.

The following securities test symbols will be accepted during live production environment testing Monday through Friday regular trading hours.

EYZ.C	ZYZ.A

Onboarding Checklist

To further aid in client readiness, the following checklist has been prepared. This checklist includes the activities required before active trading can begin on the new Alpha-X / Alpha DRK trading platform.

1. Alpha-X / Alpha DRK Market Data Feed - No additional paperwork is required to be completed by Market Data customers in order to receive and display Alpha-X / Alpha DRK market data as TMX will provision the new Alpha- X / Alpha DRK Feed access to all clients who are currently permitted to access the TSX Alpha Feed.

2. Alpha-X / Alpha DRK Market Data Recovery Session - Please engage and submit your request with Market Operations at equities.operations@tmx.com.

3. Alpha-X / Alpha DRK new Order Entry sessions - To request new Alpha-X / Alpha DRK Order Entry and Drop Copy sessions - establish and submit the request via the TMX Axis Client Portal.
