Everything you need to know about the redesign of TMX Money

In June 2020, TMX released an updated and redesigned version of TMX Money. The redesign (which follows extensive investor research, surveys, focus groups, and testing) helps retail investors by providing them with the information and tools that they need to better research and discover companies that are listed on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange.

To help listed issuers, we have released a special FAQ that provides more information on the redesign of TMX Money and more details on how TMX Money sources and displays data. Contact details for further information are also provided in the FAQ.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

This FAQ has been developed to provide guidance and assistance to companies listed on Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV). All listed issuers are reminded that their use of TMX Money is subject to TMX Money's Terms of Use (available on TMX Money's website). Nothing in this FAQ replaces those Terms of Use.

What is TMX Money?

TMX Money is a retail investor-focused website that aggregates financial data on public companies from several third party data suppliers.

Why Was TMX Money Redesigned?

In 2020, TMX Money was redesigned following extensive investor research, surveys, focus groups, and testing. The redesign helps retail investors by providing them with the information and tools that they need to better research and discover companies that are listed on TSX and TSXV.

Where Does TMX Money Source its Information and Data?

TSX and TSXV do not directly supply the information or data that is displayed on TMX Money. All of the information and data on TMX Money is sourced and/or derived from third party data providers who feed financial market platforms globally. Key information and data sources (directly or indirectly) include: Barchart, Cision, Morningstar, QuoteMedia, SEDAR, SEDI, and TipRanks.

How Can Companies Learn More About What Specific Information or Data Fields Mean?

All of the information and data on TMX Money is sourced and/or derived from third party data providers. In several cases, notes are provided next to information and data to provide additional explanation. If you have questions about the information or data that is presented on TMX Money (for example: definitions, methodologies, approach to calculations, sourcing, frequency of updates, etc), please contact tmxmoney@tmx.com.

How is TMX Money Different From TSX InfoSuite?

TMX Money is a retail investor-focused website.

TSX InfoSuite is a market data and shareholder solution that is made available exclusively to listed companies. TSX InfoSuite provides listed company executives with a wide variety of data and functionality including shareholder information, consolidated Canadian marketplace trading, volume-weighted average price data, intraday trading, net house summaries, foreign exchange rates, short positions, and more. TSX InfoSuite is complimentary to all TSX- and TSXV-listed companies. For more information about TSX InfoSuite, please contact issuer.services@tmx.com.

What are Stocklists and How are They Derived?

The Stocklists that are presented on TMX Money are derived from information and data supplied by QuoteMedia. The criteria for each Stocklist is described at the top of the Stocklist. Stocklists are updated periodically as denoted by the disclaimer at the top of the webpage.

Companies cannot request to be added / deleted from Stocklists since all of the criteria are objectively set. For clarifications about the criteria and/or calculation methodologies used for a specific Stocklist, please contact tmxmoney@tmx.com.

What Trading Volume is Displayed on TMX Money?

TMX Money provides quote pages for every security that trades on TSX, TSXV, Alpha, OTC Markets, NYSE, Nasdaq and several other North American trading venues. The trading volume displayed on the quote Overview page represents the number of securities traded during the current trading session on the specific trading venue. The trading volume does not aggregate volume across multiple trading venues. To see Canadian Consolidated trading volume for a particular stock, issuers can type "TICKER:CC" in the search bar (eg: RY:CC). TSX and TSXV issuers can get additional information about the trading of their securities (including Canadian Consolidated volume) via TSX InfoSuite. For more information about TSX InfoSuite, please contact issuer.services@tmx.com.

How Are Analyst Ratings and Price Targets Derived?

The analyst ratings and price targets are sourced from TipRanks. TipRanks provides three key pieces of information:

· Price Targets which provide the latest analyst ratings for a given stock (as sourced by TipRanks)
· Analyst Consensus Data which is based on analyst ratings from the last 3 months (as sourced by TipRanks)
· Analyst Ratings which are ratings of the analysts as determined by their historical track record

For clarifications or questions about analyst ratings and price targets, please contact tmxmoney@tmx.com.

How is Insider Activity Derived?

The insider activity is sourced from SEDI filings, via QuoteMedia. Non-Premium TMX Money users are able to view public market buying and selling by company insiders on an aggregated six month basis. Premium TMX Money users are able to view an itemized breakdown of all SEDI filed transactions at the individual level.

For clarifications or questions about insider activity, please contact tmxmoney@tmx.com.

How Can Companies Update / Correct Their Shares Outstanding?

· Total Shares (All Classes): displays the aggregate number of securities outstanding (listed and unlisted) for all security classes of a company. This data is provided by QuoteMedia. In some instances, this data may only be updated quarterly

How Can Companies Upload Content to Their TMX Money Page?

TSX and TSXV issuers have the option of uploading certain content (eg: investor presentations, corporate videos, sustainability reports, etc.) to their TMX Money Company Page. Only content in PDF and YouTube format can be uploaded. All content uploads must comply with TMX Money's Terms of Use.

If you were previously approved as an administrator for your company on the TMX Matrix platform, your administrator rights should work on TMX Money. To upload content to (or remove content from) your TMX Money Company Page, sign-in to TMX Money using your TMX Matrix username / password* and then go to your Company Page on TMX Money. From the tab called "Company", click "Update Investor Kit" to add / remove content. For questions regarding your username and password, please contact tmxmoney@tmx.com. *Note that if you have an account on both TMX Matrix and the old version of TMX Money, you should use your old TMX Money username / password to log-in to the upgraded TMX Money.

If you were NOT previously approved as an administrator for your company on the TMX Matrix platform and would like to upload content to (or remove content from) your TMX Money Company Page, please follow these steps:

· Click on the link labeled "For Issuers", located at the top of any TMX Money page
· Click on "Get Started"
· Enter your TMX Money username and password (if you do not already have a TMX Money username and password, click "Sign Up")
· Request administrator rights for your TMX Money Company Page by entering a TSX or TSXV company name in the search bar and then clicking "Submit Request". You will receive an email notification (typically within two business days) when your request is granted or denied. Please note that if you are not an officer of your company, the review process may take longer than two business days because a TSX/TSXV representative may request written approval from a company officer before granting you administrator rights
· Once you have been granted administrator rights, you can upload or remove content by returning to your Company Page on TMX Money: from the tab called "Company", click "Update Investor Kit" to add / remove content. Please note that you must be signed-in to your TMX Money account to add / remove content
