SOOP Strategies recently served as Advisor to the development of recent CSA report, "Socio-Economic Transition for Mine Closure in Canada—Investigating Standards-based Solutions", which seeks to advance two objectives:
- Analyze the socio-economic transition landscape of mine closure; and
- Recommend on the need for a standard or guideline to help mining companies better plan for the socio-economic transition of a closed mine site.
